I got a tune ready and everything, but school is kind of a thing.... :(

When are we starting next season? I may have read the un-posted post about it, and have already set up a selection of cars for it. Also, having it on a Saturday is soooooo much better.

:( This series ends like December 21st (?) so maybe the 27th or January 3rd. To be honest we only did Sunday because no one objected to it since it was the summer. I was actually the one who suggested it because I deliver pizzas and work Friday and Saturday nights. We'll definitely do Saturday races, we just need to figure out a time for them (I know I said 6pm but I think we'll ask the participants for their input like we did for this series).

Also since you read the next series' post, were the rules explained pretty clearly? I tried to make them as simple as possible but I understand there were a lot of them...

We've always got a spot open for you if you get Gold again. After this series we'll be starting a new one with Trans-Am cars so maybe Gold would be a great Christmas gift.

I thought they were pretty good. I mean, I was able to set up a car for it. I'm glad you changed it to eligible cars, rather than exclusions. They've gotten better in the platform and handling section as well.

We should probably put together several preseason races to get balance on most of the cars down. There are going to be some huge discrepancies with some of these vehicles.

Thanks for the input; it's obviously a work-in-progress but the ideas are all there and it should get more concise the closer we get to the series starting.

I was definitely hoping to get a few test sessions going before we actually begin the series but the BoP adjustments are definitely TBD far as when they get assigned and what benchmark they work towards (I'd hate to screw someone who missed the preseason races by assigning adjustments to everyone but them, and I don't know yet if those adjustments will work towards bringing the field up to the front-runners' times or nerf the outliers so the lap times are consistent with the middle of the pack). Again, something we'll figure out closer to the start of the season.

That being said, the range of lap times isn't as much as you'd expect: eight of us ran Laguna Seca last night and most everyone's times were within about a second of each as compared to over five seconds in the GT cars, and from my own personal testing I've found lap times to be negligibly different across the board so far. This season will definitely be a lot more competitive than the GT series, that's for damn sure, it's just a matter of ironing out the details.
